and history. It is one of the most important tourist destinations

Annehathaway
was the wife of William Shakespeare,
the English poet, playwright and actor. They were married in 1582,
when he was 18 and she was 26 years old. She outlived her husband by
eight years. Very little is known about her beyond a few references
in legal documents, but her personality and relationship to
Shakespeare have been the subject of much speculation by historians
and creative writers.

Edmon
Malone was an Irish
Shakespearean scholar and editor of the works of William
Shakespeare.
Assured
of an income after the death of his father in 1774, Malone was able
to give up his law practice for at first political and then more
congenial literary pursuits.

City of London was filthy during Shakespeare's era. There was no
sewage system. The waste was just dumped into the River Thames. The
disease was transmitted by the fleas that lived on rodents and
animals, especially rat.The Bubonic plague (Black Death) was always
caught or spread from an infected
animal or person.
#1595
A
busy year for Shakespeare as he is thought to have composed Richard
II performed that
very same year, A
Midsummer Night’s Dream,
thought to be composed for a wedding and the greatest love story of
all time, Romeo and
Juliet.
#queenelizabeth
A
story of Queen Elizabeth and Shakespeare must perhaps be noticed
here, the anecdote a mere late eighteenth-century invention relating
to Queen Elizabeth at a theatre one evening while Shakespeare was
playing a king, and bowing to him as she crossed the stage, but he
went on with his part without returning the salutation.
#thearmada
The
defeat of the Spanish Armada remains the most glorious event
remembered of Elizabeth's reign: the forces of Europe's mightiest
Catholic power were confounded by English sea dogs and "Protestant
gales."
